About
My name — in its entirety — is Sydnee Taylor Turner. I worked in urban agriculture on and off for ten years, and I credit that for the strength of my hands. I start at a firm pressure, but here's the thing: firm pressure is actually the easiest work a massage therapist can do.
The light touch requires training, education, attention, and exemplary care. That's where the real artistry lives.

"Going from massaging dirt to people."
I started working on Braddock Farms at fifteen years old. When I pivoted from farming to massage therapy, my Farm Manager put it perfectly — and it couldn't be more true. My clients often comment on the strength of my hands. It's my favorite compliment, and I credit every bit of it to those years in the soil.
Ten years of working the earth taught me that healing is patient, that you meet the body where it is, and that the lightest touch often does the most profound work.
My Mission
"To be present for my clients and to meet their spoken and unspoken needs."
What We Lose
We lose so much in the transition from childhood to adulthood — the unconditional love, the institutional support of education and guidance. Every adult playground comes with an entry fee. My question is as adults, what do we gain? It cannot be tedium and distress. I will not allow it.
What You Gain Here
Thanks to my profession, I am able to address the aches and pains of life while filling my practice and space with hopefulness. My goal is for you to get off the table feeling brand new. You deserve to enjoy your life — and you deserve to do so in a comfortable body.
Your Pain Is Welcome
I will not deny the agony of life, nor turn away from anyone experiencing it. I embrace it. If I am chosen to work with you, I hope to transmute your pain into gold — at your pace, of course.
A Meditation for Both of Us
I want to surround my clients with joy. I want people to believe they can find happiness again — to turn toward their life purpose, even if they've been forced to turn away. Every session is mutually beneficial. Clients need not worry about my hands or my wellbeing for I find every massage to be a meditation.
"All desire is suffering." — Dhammapada. But to want is a natural thing.Life can be callous. My intention is to ease my clients into believing that the universe is always working in their highest favor, while acknowledging the ways life has knocked them around. Suffering is inevitable, but I think most of us have had enough. I draw on my experience as a massage therapist, teachings from reflexology, and the wisdom of many teachers to give my clients the courage to bear the weight of their destiny.
What to Expect
The Intake
We'll talk about what you want and need from the session. Nothing is skipped, nothing is rushed.
The Custom Plan
I'll tailor the session to your needs and advise which modalities are best suited for you, with future sessions in mind.
The Oils
You'll choose from a curated selection of essential oils. The classic PB&J of Lavender and Peppermint, Cedarwood Atlas, a spicy blend of Ginger, Cinnamon & menthol, and more.
A Note on Oils
I currently use JadeBloom, but am restocking with smaller companies for higher quality. I adore the Chicago-based Workshop Apothecary — their Violet diluted in Jojoba oil is hypnotic.
